CM Revanth Reddy said that women have a special identity in our culture and tradition and said that the credit for spreading women’s power to the world goes to Indira Gandhi. 553 RTC buses were distributed to self-help groups. The RTC buses were inaugurated by waving the flag. Later, Revanth Reddy participated in a meeting organized at the Secunderabad Parade Ground and spoke. He said that women will have recognition only in the kingdom of Indiramma. Will anyone who has a problem with women be in power? He asked. He said that the BRS government was defeated because of its problem with women.
He praised women for proving that they are ahead of everyone else, saying that girls are the lifeblood of agriculture, and that we have a culture that rejoices when a girl child is born as Mahalakshmi. He said that they are taking women as inspiration and are governing. He said that it took hundreds of years for women to get the right to vote in America, and that Nehru deserves the credit for giving women the right to vote after India gained independence. He reminded that the credit for giving the country the first woman President belongs to the Congress.
Has the BJP party president been given to a woman at least once? He questioned. He criticized the BRS government for not giving a single ministerial post to a woman in the first five years. He said that two women were given ministerial posts in his government. He reminded that Rajiv Gandhi gave reservations to women in local elections and Sonia Gandhi introduced a bill for reservation for women in legislative assemblies in 2013.
Women will be recognized only when Indiramma comes to power, the previous government did not pay the Rs.4,000 crore zero-interest cash that was supposed to be given to women, will anyone who has invested in women be in power? He questioned. He said that the BRS government was defeated because of investing in women. He clarified that we paid Rs.10,500 crore to RTC for free travel for women.
He said that girls are going to neighboring villages for free in buses and that the dropout rate of girls in schools has decreased due to free buses. He said that women in the state are running petrol stations and solar power plants to compete with Ambani and Adani. He said that district Mahila Shakti buildings will be constructed soon and that land worth Rs. 1,000 crores has been given to women’s groups next to the Hi-Tech City. He clarified that the state’s economic progress is in the hands of women. He asked whether women have ever tied the Bathukamma sarees given by the previous government. He said that women came to this meeting wearing the sarees given by his government and he made it clear that he would not rest until one crore women are made millionaires.
