Appointment letters were handed over to 221 candidates selected through the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission for various posts across the Urban Development Department, the Skill Development and Employment Department, and the Animal Husbandry Department. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami presented the letters during a distribution ceremony held at his official residence on Tuesday. Extending his best wishes to the selected candidates, CM Dhami noted that over the past four and a half years, the government has successfully inducted more than 33,000 youths into government service. He described this as a golden moment marking the success of the youths’ years of hard work and struggle.
CM Dhami remarked that the smiles on the youths’ faces indicate that the state government is moving in the right direction. The state’s youth are its greatest asset for both the present and the future. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, continuous efforts are being made to provide employment, self-employment, and better opportunities to the youth. The new startup policy is fostering a vibrant startup culture within the state. Schemes such as the ‘Mukhyamantri Swarojgar Yojana’ (Chief Minister’s Self-Employment Scheme) and youth incentive programs are strengthening young people both financially and technically. Thanks to the government’s efforts, the youth are now more confident than ever about realizing their dreams.
The CM recalled a time when the dreams of the youth and the sacrifices of their parents were met with injustice, whereas today, recruitment processes are being completed in record time. While the youth previously faced despair and disappointment, the state government now actively hands over appointment letters to them. The Chief Minister affirmed that the state government would not compromise the future of the youth at any cost. He also noted that today marks the completion of 12 full years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s tenure, making it a historic day.
The state government has taken stringent action against the ‘cheating mafia’ and has implemented the country’s toughest anti-cheating law. The Chief Minister made it clear that the state government would continue to provide employment opportunities to the youth with the same pace, transparency, and fairness. He added that clear instructions have been issued to departments to fill vacant posts immediately. The Chief Minister stated that the new recruits are not merely government employees but also partners in Uttarakhand’s development. He noted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the nation is advancing with the grand resolve of ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’ (Developed India 2047). During this ‘Amrit Kaal’ (auspicious era), everyone must actively participate in this great national endeavor and make invaluable contributions to nation-building.
Cabinet Minister Saurabh Bahuguna informed that appointment letters are being distributed to 173 instructors and 4 personal assistants selected under the training wing of the Skill Development and Employment Department, as well as to 9 personal assistants selected for the Animal Husbandry Department. Cabinet Minister Ram Singh Kaida remarked that, under the Chief Minister’s leadership, appointments are being made without the need for recommendations; over the past two years, appointment letters have been issued to 215 individuals in the Urban Development Department.
