The Cultural Language Indian Connections (CLIC) held a high-level Executive Committee meeting today at the Camp Office in Begumpet to finalize preparations for the upcoming International Sweets Festival. Scheduled for January 13, 14, and 15, 2026, the festival continues its tradition of celebrating culinary diversity and heritage.
Since its inception in 2017, CLIC has organized this landmark event in association with the Government of Telangana. Beyond the celebration of flavors, the festival serves as a powerful platform for women empowerment and national integration, bringing together diverse cultures through the universal language of sweets.
The meeting was guided by the vision of Mr. Burra Venkatesham, IAS, the festival’s source of inspiration. In a detailed briefing, General Secretary Mr. Libby Benjamin announced the formal assignment of key responsibilities to ensure the seamless execution of the three-day event:
Finance: Managed by Mr. Parmanand Sharma and Mr. Raj Kumar. Safety & Logistics: Mr. Hemant Singh will coordinate with Police, Fire, and Health departments to ensure total event security.
Operations & Infrastructure: Mr. Abhijit will oversee site planning, participant counters, and seating arrangements, while Mr. Ajit handles all printing requirements. Public Health: Mr. Vittal Joshi is tasked with maintaining health, hygiene, and water supplies.
Cultural Affairs: Mrs. Moushami and Miss Aarohi Rawat will curate the festival’s cultural performances.
Administration: Miss Komal will lead media relations, and Mr. Manoharan will manage the participant registration process.
Mr. Burra Venkatesham, IAS, expressed his satisfaction with the comprehensive planning presented by the committee and extended his best wishes to the CLIC team for a successful 2026 edition.
The International Sweets Festival remains one of the most anticipated events on the Telangana cultural calendar, expected to draw thousands of visitors and participants from across the globe.
