The Nirai Literary Circle Meeting and the Release Ceremony of the Nirai – 94 Quarterly Magazine were held in grand fashion on the 6th floor of SMR Empire Apartments, West Marredpally.
The event commenced with the invocation to Tamil Thaai (Mother Tamil). Mr. S. Chandrasekar delivered the welcome address.
Renowned English writer Mr. Shankar Chatterjee attended the event as the chief guest along with his wife and engaged in an enthusiastic conversation. Miss Aarohi, a member of CLIC, also participated.
As per the guidance of Founder Kavimamani Ilayavan Ayya, on behalf of Nirai Literary Circle, Scientist Raju and Poetess Saradha Santhosh honored the special guests with golden shawls. Vocalist Snehalatha Shankar and Hyderabad Yesudas Ravi Shankar captivated the Nirai members with their mesmerizing musical performances.
Literary Session:
During the literary hour, esteemed speakers—Poet Gopalakrishnan, Advocate/Writer Natarajan Ganapathi, Poet Ramakrishnan, and Poet Arutchelvi—presented with utmost dedication on the Sangam-era treasures, the Five Great Epics, taking the audience on a journey back to the Sangam period.
Main Event:
The highlight of the meeting was the release of the Nirai – 94 issue. Member Mr. Sridhar officially released the publication, and the first copy was received by the chief guest, writer Shankar Chatterjee.
Poet Prabhavathi Raja delivered an elaborate congratulatory note appreciating the beautifully designed magazine, created by France-based Writer / Editor Tamil Nenjam Amine.
Nirai President Sollaruvi Srinivasan addressed the gathering via video message from Chennai, moving the audience emotionally.
Nirai Treasurer Kalyani Krishnan meticulously presented the financial report.
Snacks were provided to all attendees on behalf of Chennai-based Nirai writer/poet Sivasubramanian. Advocate Ganapathi further added joy by serving sweet pongal.
Nirai Vice President Madhavan delivered the vote of thanks in his own style.
Several distinguished members attended and graced the occasion, including:

Nirai Editor Poet Saradha Santhosh organized and hosted the event with great care.
Special thanks were conveyed to Vellimedu Madhavan and Dance Artist Jayashree, a resident of SMR Empire, who arranges the venue for the event every time.
Three hours passed by without our knowledge… As Great Valluvar said:
> “When hearts meet with joy, parting becomes the most difficult of all tasks.”
With hearts and stomachs full, the Nirai family dispersed with the yearning that they now must wait three long months for the next gathering.
