Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka said that the Telangana-US partnership is not limited to the software sector alone. He commented that it has gone beyond that and has entered the ‘co-creation’ phase. He said that the bond has further strengthened in the life sciences, vaccine manufacturing, aerospace and defense sectors. He expressed hope that in the coming days, this partnership is going to break new ground in the fields of AI, clean energy, electric mobility, higher education and research.
Bhatti Vikramarka said that if you (America) give a development center to the Hyderabad IT sector, we will give you global CEOs who will lead the world. A dinner program was organized in Hyderabad on Tuesday night to celebrate the 250th Independence Day of America. As part of these celebrations, the Deputy Chief Minister, along with US Ambassador Sergio Gore, unveiled a special plaque naming the road next to the US Consulate in Hyderabad as ‘Donald Trump Avenue’.
Speaking on the occasion, Bhatti Vikramarka said that the relationship between Hyderabad and America is not just a diplomatic relationship between two governments. It is a bond formed between people and families. Today, America is not a country seen on a map, but in the form of our children studying there, relatives working there, and youth starting startups, America has become a part of every Telugu home.
He said that it is a matter of pride that Telugu is the fastest growing language there. As announced by our CM Revanth Reddy at the ‘Telangana Rising Summit 2025’, it has been decided to name the main road near the US Consulate here after US President Donald Trump as a symbol of the special bond with America, Bhatti Vikramarka revealed. He described the new US Consulate building, built to uphold the Deccan culture, as a symbol of cultural diplomacy.
US Ambassador Sergio Gore, while speaking, said that the areas under the jurisdiction of the Hyderabad Consulate are growing rapidly under the India-US strategic partnership. From a high-tech city to the aerospace and defense sectors, the progress this area is achieving defines the pace of our bilateral relations, he said. Sergio Gore said that they are proving that ‘America First’ does not mean America growing alone. He thanked the Telangana government for honoring the US Consulate Road by naming it Donald Trump Avenue.
US Consul General Laura Williams, who presided over the celebrations, said that the aerospace, defense, AI, and biopharma sectors in the states of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Odisha are changing the future of the world. Laura Williams assured that the consulate will work to ensure that talent from here freely reaches the United States in order to further advance this growth.
