A retired Army officer, identified as Alimuddin, was found shot dead within the jurisdiction of Hussainialam Police Station in Hyderabad, Telangana, on October 17. Police have initiated an investigation and suspect the death may be a suicide.
A police official stated, “The deceased has been identified as Alimuddin, a retired Army officer, who was found shot dead. We have reached the spot and are currently investigating the matter. We will share further details later.”
Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Charminar confirmed that police suspect Alimuddin may have shot himself. The body was taken for a post-mortem examination, and further inquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.
ACP Charminar said, “We suspect that he may have died by suicide after shooting himself. We are currently investigating the matter. The body has been shifted for post-mortem examination (PME).”
