Nagarjuna Public School Principal K. Roopa Reddy of JB Colony in Kondamallepalli mandal center of Nallonda district was brutally murdered on the 11th of this month. It is known that two tenth grade students committed this atrocity. On the orders of the district SP, three special teams led by DSP Srinivasa Rao have intensified the investigation into the case. After questioning about 80 people, the police identified that students from two gangs in Kondamallepalli mandal committed this murder.
The police initially identified that the tenth grade students murdered Rupa Reddy. Two tenth grade students confessed to the murder for money. On the 11th of this month, wearing a mask and hoodie, Rupa Reddy went to his house. When a student entered the house and threatened Rupa Reddy with money, she resisted. In the process, the mask came off and the student recognized Rupa Reddy and she screamed.
When her identity was revealed, Rupa Reddy was taken away and stabbed with a knife. The victim said that he took Rs.2.20 lakh from the house and gave Rs.40,000 to a student outside. However, the police found that the two students were used to stealing and going to jalsa. During the interrogation of the tenth grade student on suspicion in this case, Rs.1.60 lakh in cash was found in his pocket. When the students were questioned, they saw that there were blood stains on it and confessed to the truth.
Rupa Reddy used to work as the principal of a private school in JB Colony, Kondamallepalli mandal center, Nalgonda district. She used to live in JB Colony with her husband Rajender Reddy. However, Rupa Reddy’s family has its own house in Hyderabad. Son Abhinav Reddy is studying engineering in Hyderabad. Due to this, the family members often go to Hyderabad.
Rupa Reddy went to Hyderabad with her husband after having three consecutive days of holidays since last Saturday. As her husband had work there, she returned to Kondamallepalli alone on the morning of August 11. Later, she went to school and attended her duties. It is said that she usually stayed at school till 6.30 pm. On August 11, she said that friends were coming to her house and went to her house near the school at 5.25 pm.
After that, the family members did not receive any information from her. Even at night, she did not respond despite repeated calls to her phone. On August 12, when her husband Rajender Reddy called Rupa Reddy, the switch was off. Concerned, he called the people living in their rented house and asked them to go inside and check. When they went to the house and called many times, there was no response from inside, he informed Rajender Reddy about the matter.
In this context, he called Chintapalli Sub-Inspector Rammurthy, who lives next to his house, and explained the situation. The Sub-Inspector went to the house along with the locals and inspected it and found that Rupa Reddy was lying in a pool of blood. He immediately informed her husband about this. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and started an investigation.
