Uttarakhand: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved several financial sanctions—including the release of an initial installment of approximately ₹5 crore—to accelerate the development of religious sites, road construction, and other local projects. These decisions place a primary focus on the beautification of temples. Additionally, budgets have been sanctioned for road construction, safety measures, and the procurement of sports equipment.
Approval has been granted to release an initial installment of ₹43.60 lakh for a ₹72.67 lakh project dedicated to the beautification of the Maa Bal Kunwari Mata Temple, located at Kathud Bada (Devikhal) in the Dwarikhal block of the Yamkeshwar Assembly constituency (Pauri district). A project worth ₹1.69 crore has been sanctioned for the beautification of the Mahabgarh Temple in the Dugadda block of the same constituency; an initial installment of ₹1.02 crore will be released for this purpose.

In the Didihat Assembly constituency, ₹1.42 crore has been sanctioned to develop the Harichand Devta Temple under a master plan, with an initial installment of ₹85.08 lakh approved. For the beautification of the Nanda Devi Temple in Milam village (Pithoragarh Assembly constituency), ₹90.16 lakh has been sanctioned, and ₹54.09 lakh will be released as the first installment. Approval has also been granted to release the remaining ₹39.31 lakh for a previously sanctioned project concerning the beautification of the Mostamanu Temple in Didihat.
A project worth ₹99.61 lakh has been sanctioned for the beautification of the Guru Gorakhnath Temple located at Kaljhipa Joshi in the Salt Assembly constituency of Almora district; an initial installment of ₹59.76 lakh will be released for this work.
In the Champawat Assembly constituency, ₹79.44 lakh has been sanctioned for the construction of a motorable road from Tamli to Seem via Rupaligaad. A sum of ₹47.66 lakh will be released as the first installment. Funds amounting to ₹93.85 lakh have been sanctioned for the Silkot Gram Panchayat in the New Tehri Assembly constituency of Tehri district; the allocation is intended for protective measures against wild animals—including fencing, netting, and a safety wall—as well as the construction of a CC-railing pathway from ‘Nakil Name’ to the well. The first installment of ₹56.31 lakh will be released for this project.
Approval has also been granted for a proposal to provide financial assistance of ₹5 lakh to the Uttaranchal Press Club, located in the Raipur Assembly constituency of Dehradun, for the purchase of sports equipment. The government states that this initiative will boost sports activities at the club.
