According to the police, the accident occurred on August 31, 2026, at approximately 4:15 AM on the main road leading from the ORR Rotary to Khajaguda village, in front of Ankura Hospital in Khajaguda. A pedestrian, aged around 30–35, was crossing the road towards Ankura Hospital when he was struck by an Innova Crysta (vehicle number TS09EW7700). The car was being driven negligently and at high speed from the Nanakramguda ORR Rotary towards Khajaguda.
Subsequently, while the Innova driver and another individual were attempting to take the injured pedestrian to the hospital, two unidentified cars—speeding from Khajaguda towards the Nanakramguda ORR Rotary—struck both the injured pedestrian and the Innova driver before fleeing the scene.
The pedestrian sustained severe injuries and died on the spot. The Innova driver, 21-year-old Zaidshah Qadri, suffered a fracture in his right leg along with other injuries. He was admitted to Care Hospital in Gachibowli for treatment. The accused has been identified as Sandeep, the son of art director Anand Sai. We have taken him into custody and seized his car. We are currently investigating the matter.
