A tragic road accident occurred early Wednesday morning in the Suryapet district of Telangana. According to reports, a private bus collided with the rear of a truck at Dorakunta in Kodad Mandal. Six passengers lost their lives, and approximately 20 others were injured in the incident.
Upon receiving information about the accident, the police arrived at the scene and initiated relief operations. The critically injured were the first to be transported to the hospital. Passengers told the police that the accident took place between 4:30 AM and 5:00 AM while the private bus was traveling from Hyderabad to Eluru in Andhra Pradesh. Reports indicate there were 42 passengers on board at the time. Police stated that five women were among the deceased.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Narasimha visited the site and inspected the scene. He confirmed that the deceased included five women and one other person. The police have identified all the deceased as residents of Andhra Pradesh. Meanwhile, at least 20 injured individuals have been admitted to the hospital. Police suspect that the truck had collided with a road divider prior to the bus hitting it; an investigation is underway.

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy expressed grief over the loss of lives and conveyed his condolences to the affected families. According to an official statement, he directed the Chief Secretary to take necessary measures to ensure the injured receive proper medical treatment.
