At his residence in Vasant Vihar, the state’s former Chief Minister—the revered Major General Bhuvan Chandra Khanduri (Retd.)—was accorded a respectful final farewell by a large gathering of people, including Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan and Governor Gurmit Singh (Retd.). Heartfelt tributes were offered to him, describing him as a disciplined, humble leader deeply dedicated to the service of the nation.
Arriving at the Vasant Vihar residence of the state’s former Chief Minister, the revered Major General Bhuvan Chandra Khanduri (Retd.), the Honorable Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan—
along with Governor Lt. Gen. Gurmit Singh (Retd.)—joined a large assembly of party workers and the general public to respectfully bid him a final farewell during his funeral procession.

For me, the revered Khanduri was not merely a senior leader, but a guardian, a source of inspiration, and a mentor.
His affection, discipline, simplicity, dedication to national service, and work ethic will continue to serve as an inspiration forever. The values, guidance, and ideals he imparted during his public life constitute an invaluable legacy for me.
I pray to God to grant a place at His divine feet to this noble soul, and to bestow upon his grieving family and supporters the strength to bear this immense sorrow.
